HILTZ, Scott Edward - 83, Blockhouse, Lunenburg Co., passed away September 5, 1997, at home. Born at Martins River, he was a son of the late Nathan and Alice (Spidle) Hiltz. Prior to his retirement, he was a self-employed interior and exterior decorator. He was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Mahone Bay; member of Charity Lodge, Mahone Bay; York Rite; Scottish Rite; Philae Temple, Halifax, and South Shore Shrine Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Freelove Aulenback; daughter, Shirley Place, Blockhouse; son, Burdett, Florida; sisters, Louise Lavandoski, Western Shore; Lola (Mrs. Peter Morris), Halifax; brothers, Douglas, Sun City Center, Fla.; Roy, Kingston; Ronald, Mahone Bay; Eugene, Martins River; grandsons, Anthony (Tony) Zitto and Craig Zitto, both of Blockhouse; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Beulah, Bessie and Mildred; brothers, Emplis and Harold; half-brothers, Hector, William, Harvey and Norman; grandson, Jeffrey. Visiting today from 7-9 p.m. in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay, from where a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. today. Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. James Anglican Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Michael Mitchell officiating, assisted by Rt. Rev. Fred Hiltz. Private family burial will be in the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Blockhouse. Donations to the Philae Temple's Crippled Children's Travel Fund; Health Services of the South Shore, Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, or SHAID Tree Animal Shelter.
