HUBLEY, James A. - 78, Dartmouth, died August 5, 1997, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Louis and Cecelia (Robichaud) Hubley. He served overseas for six years with the Corps of Military staff clerks. He was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church and the Royal Canadian Legion, Somme Branch 54. He was formerly employed with Mutual of Omaha and until his retirement, was employed in various departments of the federal government. Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Bishop; daughter, Patricia Baksh, West Jeddore; sisters, Nora Russell, Lakeview, Halifax Co.; Nan, Ottawa; brothers, Aubrey, Dartmouth; Gerald (Eddie), John, Halifax; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by sister, Lillian; brothers, Frank, George. Legion service, followed by memorial service 2 p.m. Friday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cystic Fibrosis, Nova Scotia Chapter, or Multiple Sclerosis Society, Atlantic Division, 71 Ilsley Dr., Dartmouth.
