SLAUNWHITE, Charles Clement (Clem) - 86, Williams Lake Road, Halifax, died August 13, 1997, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, VG Site. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late William and Helen (Martin) Slaunwhite. He was employed with the City of Halifax, city field department, the Halifax Housing Authority and Maple Leaf Dairy. He is survived by son, William and wife Anita, Richard and wife Rose, John and wife Sherry, all of Halifax; Barry, at home; daughters, Donna and husband Allison (Cookie) Drysdale, Lorraine Hallett, both of Halifax; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Doris Reid; brothers, Pearman, Milton, Harley; sisters, Violet Reddy, Lillian Fleet, Marie Dunbar. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. No visitation by request. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday in St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch or IWK Foundation.
