RAFUSE, Neil James (Chub) - 68, Chester, died December 2, 1997, at home. Born in Chester, he was a son of the late William Joshua and Elsie Abegail (Rafuse) Rafuse. He was a member of the Merchant Marine Reserve, and member of Royal Canadian Legion, Butler Branch 44, Chester. He was a driver for the Department of National Defence, Mill Cove, and a commissionaire at Canexel, East River. Surviving are his wife, the former Rena Marie Reeves; daughters, Karen and husband Kirk Boutilier, Chester; Teresa and husband Rudolph Stevens, Tancook Island; Sheila Norwood, Chester; Marie and husband Stanley Boutilier, St. Margarets Bay; sons, Billy and wife Leta, Greg and wife Elaine, Forbes and wife Maureen, all of Chester, Harold and wife Lee, Farmington, Lunenburg Co.; sister, Betty (Mrs. David Baker), East Chester; grandchildren, Alana, Shawn, James, Ryan, Shannon, Amy, Gary, Amanda, Sarah and Melissa Rafuse, David, Jonathan and Shayne Boutilier, Jessica Norwood. He was predeceased by son, John in infancy; brother, Frederick. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, legion service 7 p.m. today, both in Davis Funeral Home, Chester. Funeral 2:30 p.m. Friday in St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Rev. Sean Taylor officiating. Burial in the Methodist Cemetery, Chester. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Methodist Cemetery or Chester Volunteer Fire Department.
