ROBAR, Gordon Allison - 83, Cornwallis Park, Annapolis Co., died April 27, 1998, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Virginia East, he was a son of the late Avard and Hazel (Banks) Robar. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper and was a member of the Nova Scotia Trappers Association. He was a guide for the Milford House for 25 years and had been caretaker at the Upper Clements Wildlife Park for many years. Surviving are his wife, the former Pauline Viola Muriel Brown; daughters, Sandra (Mrs. Allen Ford), Maitland Bridge; Kathy (Mrs. Merrill Rawding), Round Hill; Lynn Robar, Maryland; Amey Robar, at home; sons, Ira, First Nations, Bear River; Carroll, Golden, B.C.; sister, Marie (Mrs. Chester Wilson), Clementsport; six grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter, Alexia; sister, Lulu. Cremation has taken place. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in Robert L. Hall Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, Rev. Barry Dixon officiating. Burial in Clementsvale Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to Upper Clements Wildlife Park or the IWK Foundation.
