Obituary: Eldon Alexander Machum of North Bend, Oregon, passed away on February 25, 2010, at the age of 87. He was born March 16, 1922, in New Jerusalem, Queens County, N.B., son of the late Harry Alexander and Annie Ida (Kirkpatrick) Machum. He grew up in Browns Flat, N.B., where he graduated from high school. In 1942 Eldon joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, became a pilot, and finished the war as a flight instructor. He moved to Oregon and joined Burroughs Business Machines where he remained until his retirement in 1982. His sharp mind, quick humor and kind heart will be missed by all. Eldon was predeceased by his wife, Laura (Henderson), in July 1978. They were married for 26 years.
