From New Brunswick
Born 9 Oct 1885 in Jerusalem. Queens, New Brunswick to Edward D. & Phebe (Dunn) Vallis, one of their 10 children. Enlisted 1915 having previously served in the 3rd CGA Militia Group & the 28th Dragoons. After the war he married Margaret F. Burgess (1891-1926) d/o Alfred Burgess. They lived on part of the Burgess property. After Margaret's death he married Mary Short d/o Timothy L. & Margaret H. (Easton) Short. They moved to Glenwood in 1946, leaving the farm to his son Edward, who sold it though the Vertran's Land Administration to Wm. Russell, a veteran of WW II, who owned it in 1952. Edward moved to Welsford.
