Amherstburg Echo, 1880: "Sandwich has an old relic in the shape of a tombstone which was erected to the memory of Moses David, by his wife, Charlotte David. The stone fence is 6 feet high, and 8 feet long; the tomb is 2 feet wide by 11? feet long. On the tombstone is engraved the following words: 'In memory of Moses David, who departed this life August 21st, 1815, aged 46.' Those wishing to see, can do so by asking Mr. Dentz, of the Dominion House, or James McKee."

Essex Free Press, 24 May 2012: "Since he was the only Jewish person in the area, his burial site was simply called, 'The Jew cemetery'." It was forgotten over the years but was re-discovered by local Windsor history and archeologist Kirk Walstedt in 1978.
