Registered to City of London. Francis Nichol bought the land in late September 1833 and set aside 3/4 acre plot for the cemetery. From Delaware & Westminster Township Honouring Our Roots: Francis Nichol came from Newcastleton, Roxboroughshire, Scotland", "arriving here in late September 1833. Francis purchased the N « L15 N4 and later bought the south half." "At the back of the Nichol property is a 3/4 acre plot set aside for a family cemetery. About 30 members of the family are buried there. Some of the bodies were moved to Pond Mills Cemetery at the request of family members and there are only six stones left standing. Before Francis died, he willed all of his property, except the cemetery and its access route, to his son Adam.". First interment Mary Nichol daughter of Original Francis Nichol and Janet Nicol, first wife of William Cousins 1830-1864 Died April 6 1864 Aged 34.
