Surveyed in 1915, the land for this cemetery was donated by Alois Frank "Louie" Becvar who received the land as a homestead grant in 1912. It's been noted that the first burial was 1918, but there was a burial in 1916. Established 1918. Started as a family cemetery.

From 'They Came From Many Lands': The Becvar Cemetery (Edmore area) is located on NW 30-29-12 on a quarter section of land owned by Aloys and James Becvar. This land was donated to the Beaver Municipality upon the death of Mary Becvar.
