McBride is a close-knit community that thrives with the support of agriculture, forestry and eco-adventure. It is located 210 kilometers southeast of Prince George, BC and 166 kilometers west of Jasper, Alberta. It is nestled in the picturesque Robson Valley, surrounded by the breath-taking Rocky Mountains and Cariboo Ranges. The community budded with the construction of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway and was established as an official town in 1913.
It is unclear when the cemetery was established, but it was managed by the R.C.M.P. until it was given over to the village in 1951. It is well maintained and cared for and is located on Airport Road, just north of town.
