Enumerator's Note by Hassard W. Purdy: This district is pleasantly situated on the Shore of the Bay of Quinte. The soil generally clay, sometimes broken with limestone rock, and a considerable number of farms with a good slate of Culhactions? with good and Cornish buildings. There is but one durable streams of water which crosses this district of sufficient magnitude to propell Mundinngus? or for milling purposes upon which this is a good site lies a saw and flour mill in course of building.

6: Leather Factory, 24x36 Brick Bark House, 28x50 Frame, cash about 250 [British] Pounds. Average quantity of hides and skins about 600. In Bark house is a Bark mill and a Rawling machine wrought by horse power, Located on Lot no. 1-4 plan on Creek known as Big Creek, Employs 2

9: One sawmill wrought by water. It runs about 2 1/2 months per year and cuts 50 thousand feet and lost ?. 4 Employed. Carriage factory wrought by Servant? and 500 pounds. Produce: 20 Buggies; 15 Lumber wagons; 15 Cutters; 20 Lumber sleighs. Total ? 100,000 pounds. 11 Employed.
