First burial 1926.

From John Janzen: This cemetery was established in 1926. My Grandfather Jacob Janzen and David Enns, the first two burials in this cemetery, were scouting the area in which they had just settled in 1925 and they stopped for a rest and sitting on a fallen tree one of them remarked that this spot was so peaceful and beautiful that he would like to be buried here. The following winter they both died and were buried at this place. David G Enns was the first burial here, he died 11 Feb 1926 and Jacob Janzen died 13 Mar, 1926 and was also buried here. Most of the people buried in this cemetery were affiliated with the Arnaud Mennonite Church on Smith Ave.
