In memory of / Donald MACDONALD Esq. / of Earltown / a Native of Caithness, Scotland / Who emigrated to Nova Scotia / in 1818 and was among the first settlers in ths place. / He departed this life on the / 27th day of January 1857 / Aged 72 years / leaving nine children and a circle of grandchildren / to lament their loss / Also Esther (SINCLAIR) / his beloved wife / A native of Caithness, Scotland / who departed this life on the / 29th day of January 1829 / Aged 39 yrs. / Death is a debt to nature due, which we have paid and so must you.
