Research<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The VNFA database is a work in progress that officially began in 1995 with just a few hundred Van Normans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through genealogical and DNA research<\/a> three VN families have been identified in North America, and we’re working on the theory that all VNs in Canada and the USA descend from one of these three (or possibly four) families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The VNFA database currently has information on over 33,000 Van Normans (and variants), their spouses and descendants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To protect the privacy of living descendants, the VNFA database is not available for public search. However, a search can be requested and the results will be shared via e-mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
